A new machine has arrived at Tuppy's. Well, I say new - it's a second-hand discontinued model, a Brother Galaxie 3000. It may be second-hand and discontinued, but I'm staring at it with wonder in my eyes. I have never seen the like!
This is the baby - http://www.brother.com/as_oc/hsm/info/sprglx3000/sprglx3000_fea.html
It's an embroidery and a regular stitching machine, and to be honest it does so much it's a little bit intimidating. But the main reason for purchase was the large embroidery area - I was feeling more than a little constrained by the limited space on offer by my PE-150. This one offers 26cm by 16cm - which is not the biggest on the market these days, but still very much on the large side. Hopefully a whole new world of big embroidery will open up to me with this new machine.
On the other hand, I might just get so scared by it, I just stick with my 20 year old New Home for everything. Watch this space!
