Machine embroiderers couldn't be without this stuff. Avalon is transparent and feels a bit like plastic, and just dissolves away in cold water. It can be used as a stabiliser, it's great laid on top of towelling to stop the tufts interfereing with the embroidery. It can also be used for machine lace, fabric making, cutaway work.
